ASSOCIATE MINISTERS

Rev. Carl Dabbs, Associate Minister

Called to ministry, he has faithfully served as an ordained minister since 1986. He previously pastored Mt. Union M.B. Church in Okolona, MS, for 13 years, leading with wisdom and dedication.

Currently, Rev. Dabbs serves at Johnson Chapel M.B. Church as the Brotherhood teacher and assistant adult Sunday school teacher, where he continues to inspire and guide others in their faith journey. With a lifelong commitment to ministry and teaching, he remains dedicated to encouraging everyone to read God’s Word.

Rev. Carl Dabbs is a devoted husband to Gloria Dabbs, a loving father of four, a proud grandfather of two, and a great-grandfather.

Rev. Kelsey Trice, Associate Minister

A lifelong member of Johnson Chapel M.B. Church, Rev. Trice answered the call to ministry in 2018. Alongside his wife, he oversees the W.O.W. Ministry, the church’s children and youth bible study, where they are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of faith. He also serves as the adult Sunday school teacher.

Committed to continuous learning, Rev. Trice has earned a certification in Christian Education from Mississippi Baptist Seminary and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology. His dedication to God and Christian education continues to shape his journey in ministry.

He is a devoted husband to Tabatha Trice and a proud father of four—Kyecia McCree, Aspen Trice, Khaleb Trice, and Kylan Trice. He is also a loving grandfather to Kylie Graham and Kuban Foster.

The mission of the Deacons Ministry is to serve as a mutual helper to the Pastor in carrying out the work of the church.
